So what does everybody think about Ricky Hatton's return to the ring?

A lot less skeptical than I was this morning. I figured he might just be being wheeled out for a few exhibitions but he sounds (and looks) serious.

Very interested to know what type of opponent he will end up fighting. Someone who isn't a real puncher but can give him rounds would seem ideal to me - his punch resistance was a real concern post-Mayweather

as a massive hatton fan, i cant wait for this comeback fight.

as fans we can be very greedy though, to me hatton has nothing to prove. hatton has arleady fought the best and won world titles at 2 different weights.

why is he coming back??...its certainly not money....its because of his demons of how his career ended, he has admitted that along with what has happened to him when he retired.

hes 33 and like all his fights will be in tremendous shape, he just wants to fight...thats it...not for the titles, not for the money BUT for himself.

hatton knows the dangers to his legacy, he knows the dangers to himself in this comeback but sometimes you just have to do something to get that peace of mind.

win or lose hatton will get this AND it will be on his terms..the way he wanted it to be.

Nov 24th cant come quick enough...a hatton fight is just not a fight...its an event.

Much depends on who Hatton's going to fight on November 24. On the one hand, after 3 1/2 years out he needs to be matched very carefully; on the other hand, it needs to be a pretty highly ranked opponent to sell tickets and attract TV coverage (needed to make the promotion financially viable). So they'll probably bring in someone who's a good "name", but a non-puncher and perhaps on the slide. Mickey Duff or Mogens Palle would have come into their own in making this sort of match. We shall see.
